What are the fees to transfer from Australia?

We like to keep things cheap and simple here at OrbitRemit, so for all transfers under $10,000 we only charge a tiny fee of $4 per transfer. Sending over $10,000? That's free of charge! 

What are the rates from Australia?

Is there a maximum amount I can send?

Restrictions on how much you can transfer are determined by which country you are transferring to. You can view more info on maximum transfer and receive amounts.

These limits are imposed by banks and local regulators and OrbitRemit does not have control over these restrictions.

How long will it take for OrbitRemit to receive my payment?

We usually receive payments to our Australian bank account within 12-24 hours.

Please Note

This is how long your bank takes to send us your money. We have no control over this part of the process, but if you make payment to OrbitRemit before your banks cut off time (generally 5PM EST) we should receive it the following morning.

Payments made to our account over the weekend, or after your banks cut off time on a Friday will take a bit longer to reach our account. As banks are closed over the weekend, your payment will reach our account on Monday afternoon or Tuesday morning at the latest.

How long will it take after OrbitRemit receives my payment?

This depends on where you are transferring to. You can view more details on processing times by destination.

Will I need to verify my identity?

Yes. For all transfers from Australia we now request a copy of an ID document (passport or driver's licence) as part of creating your first transfer.

Do I need to know my recipient's physical address?

Yes. When transferring from Australia a recipient address will be requested and is mandatory.

Can I use OrbitRemit for my business?

Yes, you can create a business account. Please note however that we cannot offer services to charities needing to make transfers from Australia.

Do you accept POLi payments?

Yes, we can accept payment via POLi for certain currency pairs. POLi is only available for a limited number of Australian banks:

ANZ, Bank of Melbourne, Bank of Queensland, BankSA, Bankwest, Bendigo Bank, Citibank, Commonwealth Bank, CUA, IMB Building Society, ING Direct, NAB, Newcastle Permanent, People's Choice Credit Union, St. George Bank, Suncorp and Westpac.

Can I request a refund?

We can't cancel your transfer once it has been completed. However, if the status of your transfer is ‘Awaiting Payment’ or 'Awaiting Update' then there is still time to cancel and arrange a refund
