Paying to a GCash Account in the Philippines

You can now send to GCash with OrbitRemit and make fast, cost-effective transfers to the Philippines. Sending to a GCash account is easy. All you need is the first name, last name, phone number and residential address of the GCash account you are transferring to.

This is how it works:

  1. Login to your OrbitRemit account.
  2. Select PHP as the receiving currency from the calculator and choose the amount you want to transfer.
  3. Select New Recipient → GCash and enter your recipient's name, mobile phone, residential address and your reason for transfer.
  4. Pay for your transfer via Bank Transfer, PayID or POLi (New Zealand only)

Is there anything my recipient needs to do to receive my transfer?

Your recipient needs to have a registered GCash account. They can create one using the GCash app or through dialling *143 (only available to Philippine-issued SIMs).

Is there a maximum I can send or my recipient can receive?

You can send up to 10,000 PHP to your recipient.

Can I pay a business?

Customers are able to pay businesses that are set up to receive payments through GCash.

Are there any fees involved?

There is a $4 fee for transferring from AUD - PHP and NZD - PHP.

Will GCash transfers be available on the app?

GCash is now available on our Android and iOS apps, please make sure your app is updated to the latest version to access it.
