Paying to a GCash account in the Philippines

OrbitRemit supports fast, cost-effective transfers to GCash accounts in the Philippines. All you need is your recipient's basic details and their registered GCash mobile number.


What you'll need before you start

  • Recipient's first and last name
  • Recipient's registered GCash mobile number (Philippine number only)
  • Recipient's residential address
  • Your reason for the transfer

OrbitRemit only processes GCash transfers to Philippine mobile numbers.


Steps to send to a GCash account

  1. Log in to your OrbitRemit account.
  2. Select PHP as the receiving currency and enter the amount you want to send.
  3. Select New Recipient, then choose GCash.
  4. Enter your recipient's name, mobile number, residential address, and reason for transfer.
  5. Pay for your transfer using one of the available payment methods:

Does my recipient need to do anything?

Yes. Your recipient must have a registered GCash account to receive the transfer. If they don't have one yet, they can sign up via the GCash app or by dialling *143 from a Philippine-issued SIM.

Can I send to a business?

Yes. You can pay businesses that are set up to receive payments through GCash.


Is GCash available on the OrbitRemit app?

Yes. GCash is available on both the Android and iOS OrbitRemit apps. Make sure your app is updated to the latest version to access this feature.
