To make a payment to the IRD using OrbitRemit you will need the following before you start your transfer:
- Your IRD number.
- The ‘tax type’ you want to pay. In most cases, the ‘tax type’ will be Student Loan Borrower (SLS) but we are unable to confirm the tax type you need to use to make payments. You can view a full list of tax types here but if you are unsure, we suggest making contact with the IRD to confirm.
- If you are making a payment towards your student loan you will need the tax year to which you want your payment credited toward. Again, we are unable to advise on this and suggest you contact the IRD to discuss if you are unsure.
