I made a payment from a joint bank account

If you've sent a payment to OrbitRemit from a bank account held in two names, you may need to provide additional documentation to verify the payment. This helps us confirm the transfer came from a registered OrbitRemit customer and prevents delays.

Why is this needed?

When a payment is made from a joint bank account, banks often only display one account holder's name in the transaction details. Since OrbitRemit is required to verify that payments come from the registered account holder, we may not be able to automatically match your payment if your name isn't the one shown.

Providing a joint account statement resolves this quickly.

What to do

Submit a copy of your joint bank account statement or account overview that clearly shows the names of both account holders.

You can do this by:

  1. Visiting our Help Centre and opening a support ticket.
  2. Attaching the document directly to the ticket.

A bank statement, account summary page, or internet banking overview showing both names is acceptable. You do not need to provide full transaction history — just a document that clearly shows both account holder names.
