The first time you send South Korean won (KRW) to a recipient, they will need to complete a one-time identity verification before the funds can be delivered. Once verified, they can receive all future transfers from you without needing to verify again.
How it works
After your transfer has been funded and processed by OrbitRemit, your recipient will receive a verification link by both SMS and email.
Important: The link expires after 3 days. If your recipient does not complete the process within this time, the link will become invalid and a new transfer will need to be created.
Verification steps for your recipient
| Step | What your recipient needs to do |
|---|---|
| Step 1 | Review the general notification with an overview of the process and transfer details |
| Step 2 | Agree to the terms and conditions |
| Step 3 | Upload a valid photo ID |
| Step 4 | Confirm additional personal information |
| Step 5 | Complete bank account verification |
| Step 6 | Verification complete — funds will be delivered |
Let your recipient know to expect the SMS and email from OrbitRemit after you've made payment, and ask them to complete the steps promptly to avoid the link expiring.
