You can fund your OrbitRemit transfer instantly using PayID through your Westpac account. Before you begin, have your OrbitRemit PayID details ready — you'll need the PayID email address and the Description/Reference shown on your OrbitRemit PayID details page.
Via the Westpac mobile app
- From the home screen, tap the $ icon.
- Tap Pay Someone.
- Tap Add in the top corner.
- Tap Other PayID, then select Email PayID.
- Enter the PayID email address shown on your OrbitRemit PayID details page and tap Next.
- Enter the amount you wish to deposit.
- Enter your Description/Reference in the Description field.
- Leave the Reference (optional) field blank.
- Review your payment details and tap Confirm to complete your deposit.
Via Westpac internet banking
- Log in to your internet banking account and select Make a Payment.
- Select Pay new payee.
- Select Email and enter the PayID email address shown on your OrbitRemit PayID details page.
- Click Verify, then confirm the payee details and set a payee nickname.
- Enter your Description/Reference in the Description field.
- Enter the amount you wish to deposit and click Continue.
- Review your payment details on the confirmation screen and click Confirm to complete your deposit.
First-time or large deposits: If this is your first PayID deposit or you are depositing a large amount, Westpac may hold your payment for up to 24 hours before it clears. This is a standard bank security measure and is not something OrbitRemit can override.
