Incompatible accounts and payments

When sending money to OrbitRemit, there are certain account types and payment methods we are unable to accept.


Account types we cannot accept payments from

Account type Details
PayPal We cannot accept payments from PayPal accounts
Trust accounts We cannot accept payments from trust accounts
SMSF (Self-Managed Super Fund) We cannot accept payments from self-managed super funds
Third-party accounts Payments must come from an account held in your name — we cannot accept payments where the account holder is someone else

Brokerage accounts: You can pay from a brokerage account, but only if the account is in your name. We may ask you to provide a document confirming account ownership.


Payment methods we cannot accept

  • Cash
  • Cheques
  • Cryptocurrency — we also cannot send money to cryptocurrency platforms
