OrbitRemit has partnered with the Vodafone M-Tala network to offer fast, cost-effective transfers to Samoa from Australia and New Zealand. All you need is your recipient's name and M-Tala phone number.
Steps to send to an M-Tala account
- Log in to your OrbitRemit account and select WST as the receiving currency in the calculator, then enter the amount you want to send.
- Click New Recipient and select Mobile Money Transfer.
- Enter your recipient's name and M-Tala account phone number.
- Select the reason for your transfer.
- Pay for your transfer.
Does my recipient need to do anything?
Yes. Your recipient's M-Tala account must be activated before they can receive a transfer. If they haven't activated it yet, they can do so through the M-Tala app or by calling Vodafone customer service from a Vodafone phone in Samoa.
How to register for M-Tala
Registration is free and takes just three steps:
- Register at any Vodafone retail store in Samoa or register online.
- Receive a confirmation text message containing an activation key number.
- Activate the M-Tala account by dialling *175# and entering the activation key number.
Wallet limit

If your recipient's wallet balance is close to WST $10,000, your transfer may not be processed. Ask your recipient to check their M-Tala balance before you send.
