1. Make sure the document is laid on a flat surface when taking the photo. |

2. Take the photo from directly above the document you are using. |
 |
3. After taking the photo of the document, review to ensure the hologram is not obscuring the ID photo. |

4. Ensure the document number (generally in the top right hand corner) is clearly visible. |

5. Make sure you are the only person in the selfie. |
