Having problems with biometric verification?

If you're having trouble completing biometric verification, the tips below cover the most common causes. For the best experience, we recommend using the OrbitRemit app on Android or iOS rather than a web browser.

1. Lay your document flat

Place your ID on a flat, stable surface before taking the photo. Avoid holding it in your hand, as this can cause blurring or distortion.

2. Shoot from directly above

Hold your camera or phone directly above the document — not at an angle. The document should fill as much of the frame as possible.

3. Check the hologram isn't covering your photo

After taking the photo, review it before submitting. If the hologram or reflective surface is obscuring your ID photo, try adjusting the lighting or angle and retake it.

4. Make sure the document number is clearly visible

Check that the document number — usually found in the top right corner — is sharp and fully readable in the photo. If it appears blurry or cut off, retake the photo.

Tips for your selfie:

5. Make sure you are the only person in the frame

Your selfie must show only you. Ensure no other people are visible in the background or beside you when taking the photo.
