How do I complete Biometric Verification?

  • Below are details to help you successfully complete biometric verification:

    What you will need/to do

    • If you haven't already done so, visit our site and 'Sign Up'
    • Ensure you have a valid (must not have expired) Identification (ID) document. You can use any passport and driver's license for select issuing countries.
    • Ensure your computer/laptop has a working webcam.

     

    Steps to Complete Biometric Verification

    Verification is not required in advance of your first transfer. When you start the transfer creation process, for the first time, we will request the necessary information. After completing your profile, and details of your recipient you will be taken to the 'Biometric Verification screen'

    1. Here you need to confirm you have a working webcam. If you do not have a webcam, please download our mobile app.
    2. Have a read of our tips and ensure your name and date of birth are correct, as they appear on your ID document, and select 'Start Biometric Verification'.
    3. Select the type of document you wish to use. The most important thing here is to ensure you have the issuing country set correctly. You can select 'Choose issuing country' if the document you will use is from another country.
    4. 'Capture image'.
    5. Check all details from your document are clearly readable. Pay particular attention to document numbers and your date of birth. If you can clearly make out all details select 'Continue' otherwise select 'Capture new image' to try again.
    6. Once the document has been captured we will then ask you to take a selfie. Please note that this needs to be a 'live' image, we cannot accept a pre-saved photo of you.

    It is very important the image you take captures the document in its entirety and is not obscured by glare. Please also make sure you are the only person in the selfie.

    1. Ensure your name and date of birth are correct, as they appear on your ID document, and select 'Start Verification'.
    2. Select the type of document you wish to scan. The most important thing here is to ensure you have the issuing country set correctly. You can select 'Change country' if the document you will use is from another country.
    3. Once you have the issuing country set correctly select the document type you will use.
    4. Scan the document.
    5. Check all details from your scanned document are clearly readable. Pay particular attention to document numbers and your date of birth. If you can clearly make out all details select 'Readable' otherwise select 'Retake' to capture a better image.
    6. Once the document has been captured we will then ask you to take a selfie. Please note that this needs to be a 'live' image, we cannot accept a pre-saved photo of you.
