When setting up a transfer, you'll be asked to select a recipient type. The options available to you will depend on the destination currency you have chosen.
Most common recipient options
These options are available for all currencies:
| Recipient type | When to use it |
|---|---|
| Pay my own bank account | Use this when the destination bank account is in your own name |
| Pay somebody else's bank account | Use this when sending to an individual such as a friend or family member |
| A business bank account | Use this when paying a business — for example, for an invoice or purchase of goods and services |
Other recipient options
These options are only available for specific currencies and destinations:

| A person who will collect the funds | Nepal (NPR), Philippines (PHP), Vietnam (VND) | Use this when your recipient will collect the funds as cash from a physical collection point |
| A mobile wallet | Bangladesh, China (Alipay), Pakistan, Philippines, Fiji, Nepal, Samoa, Tonga, Colombia, Botswana | Use this when sending directly to a mobile wallet account |
| Pay the Inland Revenue Department (IRD) | New Zealand (NZD) only | Use this to pay your student loan or other taxes in New Zealand |
| Pay the Ministry of Justice | New Zealand (NZD) only | Use this to pay outstanding fines in New Zealand |
| Pay the Ministry of Social Development | New Zealand (NZD) only | Use this to pay child support in New Zealand |

Once you have added your recipient, select Confirm to continue. You will then be taken to the Review your transfer page to check and confirm your transfer details before submitting.
