How to use PayID

PayID is a fast and easy way to fund your OrbitRemit transfer instantly from your Australian bank account. PayID is available for AUD payments only.

What you'll need

Before you begin, log in to your OrbitRemit account, book a transfer, and select the PayID payment option. This will display your unique PayID details, including:

  • PayID email address — the email address you'll enter as the payee in your banking app
  • Description/Reference — your unique reference to include with your payment

Do not use the example details shown in any guide or screenshot. Always use the PayID details shown in your own OrbitRemit account.

How to make a PayID deposit

  1. Log in to your mobile banking app or internet banking.
  2. Select the option to Pay anyone or Pay someone new.
  3. Choose to pay using an email address.
  4. Enter the PayID email address shown on your OrbitRemit PayID details page.
  5. Enter your Description/Reference in your bank's description or reference field.
  6. Enter the amount and confirm your payment.

If no Description/Reference is shown on your OrbitRemit PayID details page, you can leave the description field in your banking app blank.

Important things to know

Supported currency AUD only
Payment must come from Your own personal bank account held in your name — as per OrbitRemit's Terms of Use
Reference field Only enter your unique OrbitRemit description — if none is shown, leave it blank
Processing time Most PayID deposits are instant, but first-time or large deposits may be held by your bank for up to 24 hours
Deposit limits Keep within your AUD deposit limit — amounts above your limit may be delayed and require further verification
